512 - HAPPY HOURWEEN 2024 - Stevie's Trick or Treat! (ft MYSTERY GUESTS!)
2022 the boys donned Urban Legend make-up, 2023 was the year the Addams family came to the virgin table... and 2024 is by a country mile the weirdest yet. Remember a year or so ago when the boys debated which Pokemon is truly the sexiest? I think in this year's Halloween special; that very question is finally answered...
Jaack finally comes through on a podcast promise as he's written The Hangman's Secret, a short-scary-story based on a murderous pub landlord Robbie told us about in episode #453.
Will the story receive rapturous acclaim from Stevie & Robbie like The Human Millipede, or will it have yet another utterly bizarre storyline much like the mental script Jaack wrote for the 500th special? (Spoiler: both).
Mr Knox ventures deep inside his creepy library once more with a tale including some silver bullets and bum brain, and Stevie may just have pulled off the impossible as he leaves Jaack & Robbie gobsmacked at his "not urban legend" urban legend.
OH - and in what could quite possibly be the greatest moment of Happy Hour ever and at the hands of the devious Jaack - some mystery guests hijack the studio draped in their best costumes, for a LIVE "trick or treat". Two separate guests with a real life connection to Stevie... but here's the twist: Stevie has no idea who they are OR that this was going to happen.
Jaack also promises Stevie the trip of a lifetime to the home of a Happy Hour favourite urban legend location that is bound to be super spOooOOooOky. (I lied about doing the spooky thing again).
480 - BRITISH Urban Legends!
We’re delving into the stories of Spring-heeled Jack, The Phantom Ferryman of Pier 13, The Devil’s Footprints, and The Ghost Of Bluebell Hill. There’s a twist, as Stevie reveals that one of the stories in this episode was AI generated - can you guess which one?
Plus, we heard your cries, we read your comments, and we have FINALLY given you the infamous Sin Pig story! So without further ado, sit back and enjoy Little Boy’s Brexit Legends (this will make sense if you listen to this episode…)
476 - Wet Bag's Creepy Library! (BIGGEST PLOT TWISTS)
Check out episodes #228 and #372 for more creepy library stories!
473 - IS THIS A GLITCH IN THE MATRIX?
Cheating death, missing children, infinite water bottles, duplicate parents and phone calls from beyond the grave all feature in today’s episode.
Robbie shares his own glitches that made him question reality, and things get DEEP as we discuss the illusion of sight and sound, and whether other people even exist?!
Should Mack Bean have gone to the police with the murder evidence he stumbled across, or was he simply a witness to a real life glitch in the matrix?
455 - VERY SUPERSTITIOUS - Bizarre Superstitions & Bad Luck Omens
Jaack, Stevie & Alfie sit down to discuss the strange superstitions that sweep our nation, from walking under ladders to stepping on three drains to breaking a mirror, we’ve all heard these bizarre beliefs and how they supposedly bring us bad luck - but do they?
Will listening to this episode bring you seven years of bad luck? No. Will you learn something you can tell your mates down the pub? Potentially. Will Jaack spend a good 10 minutes reading a Spanish nursery rhyme about a cat for no real reason? Yes.
So sit back, relax, throw some salt over your shoulder and indulge in today’s mysterious main show!
452 - Creating Our Own Dream Urban Legends!
We’re each creating our very own fearsome creature, giving it a name, choosing a backstory, sharing its powers and weaknesses, and showing how to summon and escape it.
Robbie’s is a spin off of a current well known urban legend, Alfie’s revenge-themed story is based on a real life event that happened to him, and Jaack’s legend is based on what we can only assume are some ketamine-induced hallucinations.
Oh and if there are any doctors listening, could you please let us know if dead bodies can get erections? Asking for a friend, thanks.
